The inspection highlights:

  • how our Christian vision is central to everyday life, shaping decisions, relationships and the school experience. This in creates a happy, caring and inclusive environment where everyone is valued and supported to succeed.
  • The inspector recognised St Michael’s as a nurturing, and resilient school, particularly in the way we support pupils with additional needs. Families describe the school as a ‘lifeline’, reflecting our strong commitment to care, inclusion and wellbeing.
  • Our well-planned and ambitious curriculum enables all pupils to thrive, supported by strong teaching and high-quality professional development for staff. Religious Education is a strength, with a well-designed curriculum that encourages deep thinking and understanding of different beliefs and worldviews.
  • Collective worship is described as a special and uplifting time, filled with reflection, engagement and hope. Pupils actively participate, contributing to a strong sense of belonging and spiritual development.
  • The report celebrates our effective partnerships with families, the church, the diocese and the trust, creating a safe, supportive environment where wellbeing is prioritised. Staff and pupils alike are empowered to flourish, with a strong focus on positive mental health and community care.

We are really proud of this recognition and it is as a result of the hard work everyone puts in and the commitment, care and support of the whole school community and our amazing families and pupils.
